Shirakawa-go

For starters, we have the magnificent Shirakawa-go, a cultural world heritage site. This magical village has remained unchanged for 300 years. The villagers protect and care for it, opening it to the public a few times a year, offering a glimpse into a traditional Japanese village.

Shirakawa-go is also famous for its sake, particularly “doburoku” or cloudy, unfiltered sake, marking the birthplace of this beloved beverage.

For anime lovers, Shirakawa-go offers some serious Demon Slayer vibes. It’s a place you won’t want to miss when you visit Japan.
